It’s official, B.J Penn is no longer with UFC.
After a recent brawl incident, UFC President Dana White gave an interview and made a statement that B.J Penn will no longer be part of the UFC.
Penn still will be in UFC Hall of Fame, Dana said that he has sympathy towards B.J but as UFC President said: “He needs to get his life together first”.
Even without this accident, people were talking about his retirement from MMA. B.J lost his last 7 fights, most memorable was against Ryan Hall, when he submitted Penn via leg lock in R1.
Dana White announced Penn’s retirement today: “He won’t fight again. That’s it. That’s a wrap,” White told ESPN “It’s not even that this was the last straw. I didn’t love him continuing to fight anyway. But when you have the relationship that he and I have, and he’s getting me on the phone begging me for another fight, begging me for another opportunity, it’s hard for me to turn him down.
“But after what I saw on that video, B.J. needs to focus on his personal life and get himself together before he thinks about fighting again.”
