Dustin Poirier published a tweet where he says that it makes sense to fight vs Conor.
I think me and Conor running it back makes a lot of sense at this point.
— The Diamond (@DustinPoirier) September 10, 2019
After UFC 242 loss Dustin was heartbroken and disappointed to miss that kind of chance. He said it was his dream to unify a lightweight belt and will remember this moment for the rest of his life.
Right now Dustin Poirier has 25 wins and 6 loses, one of them was vs McGregor in 2014.
He lost the fight by TKO in the first round. This was the first time Poirier was stopped by strikes. After the match, Poirier said “I always saw it as a plus but the Conor McGregor fight was the turning point. I remember I was backstage getting ready to walk out and I saw him and he threw this smile and pointed at me. I don’t know why but it really got to me, man. It really messed with my head.”
Conor answered Dustin’s tweet where he says that it makes sense to fight vs McGregor now.
Former Double-Champ demanded more respect from Poirier and mentioned last fight where he KO’d Dustin in one and a half minutes.
I fed you to the canvas in 90 seconds bro.
You should have spoke my name with a bit more respect in that build up. “McGregor’s not next”
Motherfucker, it’s McGregor always!
McGregor is the goal! Always!
Say that now and I’ll think about it.#GoneIn90seconds #NicCage #AJolie
