Mike Tyson: “Conor has to look at himself and ask, What happened”

2018 wasn’t year of Conor McGregor, he was arrested for throwing a dolly to the bus, he got choked by Khabib, also smashed fan’s cellphone and got charged for that also, and in April he punched old man inside an Irish pub. Conor only apologized for punching the elderly man and promised that he would behave and do better.

On Ariel Helwani’s show, Mike Tyson remembered his old days when he had tons of money and couldn’t handle the situation properly.

“I think he’s an awesome guy,” Tyson said during an interview on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show. “Listen, we don’t know how to handle this stuff. We have millions of dollars and we’ve never had this stuff. Our family never had any of this and we’ve never been around this life.

“All of a sudden you start fighting, doing something you love to do and you do it easy,” he continued. “Then all of a sudden they give you a lot of money for doing it. But you don’t have no restraint, no control. You don’t know what to do. You give it away, you buy people gifts they they may not deserve it. You don’t know what to do with it and you feel you don’t deserve it.”

At the end Tyson also talked about McGregor’s recent behavior and gave him some tips on how to handle the situation and how to manage his life:

“Conor has to look at himself and ask, ‘What happened? Why am I the way I am and how do I stop this from continuing to be?’”
