Dana White: “Conor and Frankie fight isn’t going to happen”

Recently McGregor and Edgar exchanged warm words on Twitter, they wanted to set in December but Dana White has different opinions on that one.

“Edgar is two weight classes below him, he was supposed to fight Aljamain Sterling. Aljamain fell out and got hurt. Frankie is coming to the end of his career, and he could end up getting himself into a title position again. To take the Conor fight makes no sense.” – said Dana White

Frankie isn’t top of the game right now current record is 23-7 and lost last fight vs Holloway, plus he fought in featherweight for the last 7 years.

In 2010 at UFC 118 he won Lightweight Championship but that was almost 10 years ago, he isn’t the same at the age of 38.

Conor McGregor is a superstar even though he fought only one fight in 3 years. It is obvious that Dana wants to keep his superstar alive and make at least one or two big PPV fights with him.

Dana also made a comment about Conor:

“Conor loves to fight and wants to fight again, but the Frankie Edgar fight isn’t going to happen.”

“I think Conor will fight next year.”
